Welcome to the online home of ActionShots - Dan Fisher Photography.

Since 1987, I have worked with thousands of people to lock those special moments in time into something that is FOREVER. In December 2019, I passed a big milestone for my photography business as we shot our 400th wedding... we've done many since, but that 400 couples really told me something. The people that I've met through those couples who became clients as well, the follow-up times with maternity, and now even senior pictures for some of their kids, along with family pictures of so many really is very humbling. We do more in so many cases than "shoot their pictures"... we get a chance to develop a relationship that carries on long after that special day.

By adapting to the needs of clients, rather than focusing on a certain shooting style, I've been able to work with many different people, with events stretching from that rustic-elegant affair at that sweet county barn to that biker wedding at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum on Halloween... Every one of them a great time, with some truly awesome people.

Strange Days Indeed...

None of us ever thought we would see a time like this. Precautions never dreamed of, stresses never imagined, and struggles we thought would only be something from a movie (or a bad dream). We've had postponements, smaller than anticipated events, and "socially distanced" shoots with the long lens for safety. It truly has been a strange time.

We don't have the usual bridal shows or gatherings that we did, and looks like we won't for quite a while. Repeat business and referrals are going to have to keep us going.

We look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions that you might have.

The number of brides requesting to have the additional photographer available for their special day has been astounding. It makes sense, double your coverage and get other angles. This need has been filled by two very special ladies. My daughter Amanda Southern, and when she is unavailable, my wife Alicia. A number of the shots that you will find in the Wedding Gallery that are done with the bride and bridesmaids, especially the 'getting ready' shots, are the result of a creative eye and ability of one of these wonderful ladies.

I'm also proud to say that we are adding an additional option based on scheduling availability. Fallon Fisher is a young photographer with a great eye from the Charleston, WV area who has agreed to work with us as a fill in when needed.
